How to Apply Lextra Style Flock Transfers onto Football Shirts (Heat Press & Household Iron)
🌡️ Quick Reference Guide
| Pressing Method | Temperature (°C) | Press Time | Release Paper Peel | Pressure Level |
| Professional Heat Press | 150°C – 160°C | 12 – 15 seconds | Cold Peel | High (4–5 bar) |
| Household Iron | ~150°C (Polyester/Cotton) | 25 seconds | Cold Peel | Very Heavy (Maximum Force) |
🏭 Method 1: Professional Heat Press
-
Set Machine Parameters: Set your heat press to 150°C – 160°C with High pressure (Lextra micro-fibers require strong pressure for clean release).
-
Pre-press the Jersey: Press for 3–5 seconds with a Teflon sheet to eliminate all fabric moisture.
-
Position Transfer: Place the Lextra flock paper backing facing UP (fibers touching the shirt).
-
Step 1 — High-Pressure Press: Cover with a Teflon sheet and clamp down firmly for 12–15 seconds.
-
Step 2 — Cold Peel (CRITICAL): Allow the shirt to cool completely to room temperature (approx. 2–3 minutes). Peel the paper backing off flat and parallel to the shirt.
-
Step 3 — Fiber Bloom: Lightly brush the flock with your hand to elevate the classic 3D velvet UCL starball texture.
🏠 Method 2: Household Iron
-
Iron & Surface Prep: Set iron between Synthetic and Cotton (~150°C). No steam! Work on a solid wooden board.
-
Pre-iron Area: Iron jersey area for 5 seconds to warm fabric.
-
Position & Cover: Place Lextra patch paper-side up and cover with parchment paper.
-
Step 1 — Maximum Force Press: Apply your full body weight vertically down onto the patch for 25 seconds.
-
Step 2 — Complete Cooling: Do NOT attempt to touch or peel while warm. Wait 5 minutes until fully cold.
-
Step 3 — Release Peel: Peel backing paper off smoothly. If any fibers stick to paper, stop immediately, re-cover with parchment paper, and iron for another 10 seconds.
💡 Pro Tip: Lextra Style Flock (used in classic UEFA Champions League sleeve patches) relies on precision electrostatic fibers embedded in backing paper. Never peel hot or warm, or fibers will pull out unevenly.
