How to Apply Digital Print Flock onto Football Shirts (Heat Press & Household Iron)
🌡️ Quick Reference Guide
| Pressing Method | Temperature (°C) | Press Time | Mask Peel Type | Pressure Level |
| Professional Heat Press | 140°C – 145°C | 12 – 15 seconds | Cold Peel | Medium (3–4 bar) |
| Household Iron | ~140°C (Polyester/2 Dots) | 20 seconds | Cold Peel | Heavy (Firm body weight) |
🏭 Method 1: Professional Heat Press
-
Set Machine Parameters: Set your heat press to 140°C – 145°C (low heat prevents printed ink color distortion).
-
Pre-press the Jersey: Flatten the shirt area for 3 seconds with a Teflon sheet.
-
Position Transfer: Place the printed flock design (with clear transfer mask applied) onto the jersey.
-
Step 1 — Main Press: Cover with a Teflon sheet and press for 12–15 seconds.
-
Step 2 — Cold Peel: Remove jersey and let it cool 100% to room temperature. Peel the transfer mask away slowly.
-
Step 3 — Finish Press: Place parchment paper over the printed flock and press for 3 seconds to set the ink into the velvet layer.
🏠 Method 2: Household Iron
-
Iron & Surface Prep: Set iron to Polyester / Synthetic (~140°C). Turn steam 100% OFF. Set up on a rigid non-padded surface.
-
Pre-iron Area: Iron the target area for 3 seconds.
-
Position & Cover: Lay printed flock transfer in place and cover with parchment paper.
-
Step 1 — Heavy Press: Apply vertical body-weight force straight down for 20 seconds.
-
Step 2 — Cold Peel: Allow the entire transfer area to become completely cold to the touch before peeling the mask.
-
Step 3 — Edge Seal: Cover with parchment paper and press for 5 seconds to ensure complete glue transfer.
💡 Pro Tip: Printed flock combines ink and velvet fibers. Always use Cold Peel to prevent ink from lifting off the suede texture when pulling off the application mask tape.
