Notes: There is a lot of misinformation online regarding Stoichkov’s shirt name variations. As specialists, we have reviewed match footage throughout his career and confirmed that the Bulgarian star wore STOITCHKOV (with the extra “Tâ€) for Bulgaria at the 1994 World Cup, Euro 1996 and the 1998 World Cup, as well as during his second spell at FC Barcelona. However, during his 1994–95 season at Parma, he played with STOICHKOV (without the “Tâ€), the spelling most fans are familiar with. Interestingly, although most people know him without the “Tâ€, Stoichkov himself uses the STOITCHKOV spelling on his social media profiles.
